Spring soccer season for 2026 wouldn't be complete if we didn't go out with a bang! I'm lucky to have great friends to put out videos like this, whether real estate, or not! I'm so proud of my team! They showed the best spirit and most of all, consistent progression each game. No matter if it was a win or a loss, the games were exciting to watch. These girls showed absolute sportsmanship, played honest and fair and with the utmost dignity. I'm most proud of that!

My soccer coaching season has ended today and it comes with a lot of emotion. Amelia decided to try soccer for the first time. This is our first experience within competitive sports for our family. When the team was formed, they were without a coach. I waited until the last minute but after seeing Amelia appear disappointed without a coach, I felt obligated to step forward. I had no clue about positions. In fact, I probably still call them by the wrong names. We didn't have the best stats this year but I can say that the progression from the beginning, and up until today, has been tremendous and phenomenal! These girls were being led by the blind (me) and transitioned to a team with great communication and forethought on how they played. I couldn't be happier to see that they had consistent growth the entire year. Even up to today's last game. Thank you to all of the parents who were so supportive of the team and my abilities (whatever you want to call them 😬). I made some amazing new friends and hope to keep in touch with them as the season ends. I'm not going to say my coaching career is over but it's definitely not my cup of tea. If I were to do this again, it would purely be for the girls and to maintain the relationships. There were many days (and probably full weekends), where Cassie could attest that I was in a bad mood from my competitiveness and our losses. I took full blame for them for sure but the reality is, the girls had the best time and best spirits, win or lose and that's the best take away from this for me. Their upbeat spirits and camaraderie is what I could learn from these girls! We had the most exciting games and we were very competitive for sure. These games were fun to watch and always a very good back and forth. Funny thing is, no matter how much I wanted to try to teach technicals during our practices, the girls just wanted to have fun and play games so that's what we did! I'm thankful for this experience and I'm leaving my coaching career open ended for the time being.

Happy birthday to my beautiful and tenacious wife! She has taken on some major challenges in the last year! I'm lucky to have her! She's given me purpose! I often joke that I'm not sure where I would be without her but it's not a joke at all. She's given me so much motivation to be better. Not sure I deserve someone so great. She is compassionate, loving, empathetic, selfless, driven and hyper focused on everyone around her. She loves so hard on everyone in her life. Anyone in her presence benefits and it shows. She is excelling in every way whether she knows it or not but it is absolutely true. I love you Cassie and am forever grateful for you!
